Why Your Space Feels Off — And What a Single Plant Can Shift
The science behind why living elements change how a room feels. It's not aesthetics — it's your nervous system responding to something real.
A studio rooted in biophilic design — creating interiors and environments where living elements shape how a space is experienced. Every plant is intentional. Every piece is one of one.
An interior space shaped through living elements — where plants function as structure, not decoration. Designed around light, form, and how a room makes you feel.
plant·erior work includes residential styling, commercial installations, ongoing care, and curated collections — built by hand using greenhouse-grown plants, repurposed vessels, and one-of-a-kind objects.
The environmental extension of plant·erior — built through scale, placement, and long-term cultivation. Outdoor spaces designed with the same intention as interiors.
plant·scape projects are backed by over twenty years of professional horticultural experience in St. Augustine — including plant selection for real-world conditions, property flow, seasonal behavior, and sustained care through our landscape partnership.
Planterior Design started the way a lot of plant journeys do — by killing a few. When I stopped guessing and started learning the science, everything shifted. I moved from keeping plants alive to propagating them, then to growing from scratch, then to designing entire spaces around them.
Now I build interiors where plants aren't accessories — they're the architecture. Every installation is sourced, styled, and assembled by hand. Repurposed vessels, greenhouse-grown stock, objects I find and rework. Nothing is repeated. Nothing is mass-produced.
I work with homes, cafés, and businesses across St. Augustine. No formulas. I come to your space, study the light, learn how you use the room — and design something that only works there.
Every space is different. These are the ways I work — whether it's a single consultation, a full installation, or an ongoing relationship with your space.

↗Scheduled care that keeps your space as intentional as the day it was designed. Watering, pruning, seasonal adjustments, and plant replacement — all handled.
↗Rotating plant collections for commercial spaces — refreshed seasonally or on your schedule. Your space evolves without the commitment of ownership.
↗Plants, vessels, 3D-printed accessories, and one-of-a-kind art pieces — sourced or made to order. Everything in the collection is available.
↗Outdoor plant design rooted in twenty years of St. Augustine horticulture. Species chosen for real conditions — salt air, sandy soil, full sun, shade pockets, and seasonal shifts.
↗Designing how outdoor spaces connect — walkways, entries, borders, and transitions. Plant placement that considers how people move through a property, not just how it looks from the curb.

Every piece starts somewhere. A look at how found objects become the foundation of an installation.
A look behind the process — from the first site visit to the final placement. How the space came together, what I learned, and why nothing ended up where I originally planned.
Whether it's your home, your café, or your shop — if you're in St. Augustine, I'd love to see your space. Every project starts with a conversation.
